Assistant Pool Manager (Open Positions: 1)

Rate of Pay: $17.84 - $17.84
Job Summary
Major Job Duties
- Plans and schedules aquatic programs to include open swim, swim lessons, and pool rentals.
- Oversees summer operation of the county-operated swimming pools, to include recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of staff.
- Accounts for the collection and submission of pool revenues.
- Coordinates preventive and routine maintenance on pool facilities, equipment, and grounds.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of swimming pool operating procedures to include supervising seasonal workers, internal controls for accounting of pool revenues, and management of pool chemicals.
- Oral and written communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Interpersonal skills
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- More than 1 year if related experience.
- Ability to swim and obtain certifications associated with pool management, to include Certified Pool Operator and Lifeguard Certification.
- Possession of a valid Georgia Class C driver's license and acceptable MVR.
Physical Demands
The work is typically performed while standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects and must be able to distinguish between shades of color.
The work is typically performed outdoors. The employee is exposed to pool chemicals, noise, dust, dirt, grease, machinery with moving parts, and occasional inclement weather. The work may require the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
Salary & Benefits
This is a seasonal position, working up to 40 hours a week Monday - Sunday, with two days off a week. Specific days off will vary week to week. The minimum hourly wage is $17.84(11A) hourly.
